Want the trendy fender flare widebody look of the new Demon without having to resort to the aftermarket or cough up Demon money? You’re in luck. The team over at Dodge has released the photos and new specs on the latest iteration of the almighty Hellcat.
Like it’s older and unholier sibling, the new Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody (yes that’s the official name) gets the exact same body modifications as the Demon as well as the same wider tires to fill it all out.
The changes bump the MSRP up by around $6k to a total of around $71,495, in comparison, the base Hellcat sits at $65,290 and the Demon at $84,995. The changes to the Hellcat slightly improve the straight line performance, decreasing the 0-60 time by 0.1 seconds, from 3.5 to 3.4 and improving the quarter mile time by 0.3 seconds, from 11.2 to 10.9
Drag strips aside, the new, wider stance and stickier tires should give the Hellcat a much needed boost in the handling department, improving track performance and better assisting all that torque in reaching to the ground.
