It appears, even more, info on the upcoming Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 have leaked. According to enthusiast website, Corvette Blogger, which has reported that the following specs are leaks from an upcoming issue of Car and Driver:
A starting price of approximately $120k
7-speed manual and 8-speed automatic transmission options
1/2″ wider wheels than the current Z06
Magnetic ride suspension as standard
Carbon ceramic brakes ( hopefully as an option, not standard)
750hp/680 lb-ft LT5 from a 6.2L V with an Eaton supercharger)
The supercharger produces 52% more air per RPM than the Z06 blower and is also 2.9″ taller.
A sub-3 second 0-60, sub 11-second 1/4 mile, and a top speed of over 210 mph
4 additional heat exchangers
A curb weight of 3664 lbs, a 140 lbs increase over the Z06
Several aero packages available, the RPO “ZTK” as shown in the magazine. The large wing will have 10 degrees of adjustability contributing up to 500 lbs of downforce at speed.
The large wing is attached behind the hatch and spreads the load to the bumper beam.
A smaller wing is will come as standard (for the old and boring)
A lap time 2.5 seconds faster around VIR than Z06
As you can see, much like other ZR1’s the new version is a somewhat mildly upgraded version of the Z06. According to the blog, the car will debut in Dubai on Saturday, so keep an eye out!
